15 Months/ 4th of July

Greetings and happy summer!

Hope you are all doing really well. We are doing really well and thought it was time to share some more photos of our adventures.

Jack had his 15 month checkup and was doing really well. He is already 30 inches tall! He weighed in at 19 lbm and the doctor wants us to switch him totally to table food. We can also give him all the milk, cheese, and bread he will eat. If only we were all so lucky. Doc also recommended at least one Carnation Instant Breakfast every day. They look like Milkshakes, so that seems appropriate.

We spent the 4th of July weekend in Walsenburg with Nonie's family, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. It was so fun having everyone around for the weekend of relaxing and catching up.

Jack got to stay up WAY past his bedtime the whole weekend. Jack: "Yay" Mom and Dad: "We're soooo tired". He really loved the fireworks. So much that they earned the two fisted point. You know it's good when it gets the two fisted point!

He also enjoyed hanging out with his cousin Emerson. They enjoyed each other's company. You can see here they are both coloring with the crayons and coloring pages that Nonie Sudar brought:

Jack's hair had once again gotten really, really long. So we gave him another haircut. It's crazy how different he looks with short hair.

Jack has come a long way. He is starting to say more words and I think once he gets the hang of it he'll just add words Like No Man Should Wear A Scarf. He has added tiger, cracker, and cheese to his vocabulary.

Other than that we are just hanging out. Waiting for the one man show to finish painting our house, and getting a final estimate on our basement so we can hopefully have that finished by the fall.

Take care and have a super day! Thanks for visiting!

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
