Ten Months, Tumbling, Trucks, and ... School.

Okay this post is becoming two posts in one because I just now had the time to sit down and churn it out. Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I think this month captions will be most efficient.

Duncan turned 10 months old this month. He's crawling around, standing himself up, and exploring everything. He also got his first hair cut so he looks a lot more like the rest of them now.

Jack and Logan enjoyed PE Plus camp this summer. The first day was tumbling and concluded with a human pyramid. It was hilarious.  The boys are on the upper left.

As a last fun activity Grandma, Grandpa and I took the kids to Highlands Ranch Touch a Truck. There was so much more than we had time to see, but the kids loved the armored Sheriff's rescue van, the Sheriff's motorcycles, and (not pictured) the U-Haul trucks. Yes, that's right the U-Hauls. So funny!

Finally, we started school on the 25th of July. You may think this is early, but it allows us to take more breaks throughout the year.  Every quarter or so I like to take a 1 week break. It really helps us a lot.  And now that they are on the same schedule, we can move towards the goal of  "Year Round School" in that we can end early in the spring and start earlier in the summer.

Second grade, Kindergarten, and "Pre-Preschool" for our big boys. Spencer was determined to have a photo with the boards. And he has some new watercolors he has been using every day so far. He really wants to learn with this big brothers!

Until next time!

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
