Eight Months Young!

Greetings!

Things are just swimming along here in Colorado. It's September 12, and today it snowed! So rather than having an eight-month birthday photo in summer clothes, Spencer is wearing his footsie pajamas. :)

He is doing really well this month. He's sitting alone and rolling all over the place. He's a man on a mission most of the time. Also, he is sprouting his first tooth! We were quite surprised because both Jack and Logan (the dos bros) were very late to erupt teeth.

He is also eating solid food really well and is almost through the very basic first foods. Puffs and bananas may be his favorites.

The dos bros have been busy too. They are both enrolled in a class called Flip N Dip. It is 30 minutes of gymnastics and 30 minutes of swimming class. One class under their belt and they like it. Yay! I took Logan, and watched him try to walk under the handrail on the stairs and fall face first into the water. I realized after a few seconds the loud, echoing gasp had been me. But he wasn't phased. Anyone who knows me probably knows that I pretty much even freak out watching other people in the pool. Hopefully I can contain the gasps next time. I really want my kids to like the pool and be safe.

Until next time!

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
