Spencer - Day 5

Good morning!  We had a pretty good night last night. Took some extra time for Spencer to fall asleep but I think it was tummy gas as they don't have probiotics to issue here and his are likely all out of his system. However the regular gas drops eventually worked and he slept fine. 

They had another room air trial last night. This one ran the whole 30 minutes. Spencer's oxygen levels dipped down into the low 80s a number of times but he did self recover. The goal is to stay above 85 (out of 100) so we aren't quite there yet. He is still on 1/8 lpm oxygen. 

The test was even more exciting because the fire alarm went off! It coincided with one of his bigger drops in oxygen level and so I thought it was us. I guess it was from a different floor and I also assume it ended up a false alarm or quickly dealt with because we are still here. Such excitement! Not the first place I've been where we were interrupted by the fire alarm. 

Well he's falling asleep again so maybe I can get one more nap in before breakfast.

    Oh, my gosh, Dena! I have been sick for two weeks myself, so I was totally unaware of what has happened to Spencer. It sounds like he is just where he needs to be, and I know that he will continue to get good care. Meanwhile, I will put him on my daily prayer list. This has been a rotten winter for illnesses for many people. I am still fighting it! He is beautiful, by the way! Love to All, Mary

All Smiles....Look What I Can Reach! Cruisin' Another Type of Crusin' Wow, the Spring got away from me, as you can tell by the long time between posts! We have not felt like we had a lot going on, but I guess we have! Jack is doing great, and his potty training is pretty much finished (as much as it can be for a 3 year old I guess).  We visited a few Pre-Schools and finally decided on one, and luckily they had room for us! It is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Jack is going to start school - even if it's only two mornings a week! He also got his first bicycle (Lightning McQueen, of course) and he is learning the ropes of riding it. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so he kind of prefers riding at the State Park where the road is a bit less up and down.  Actually, all three of us got new bicycles and we hope to start to ride them as a family once Logan is old enough to wear a helmet and ride in the pull-behind. New Ride!

Well, it's no Mustang, but it is black! What we got was a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. At any rate, we both like it. It was a reasonable price for a smaller sized family-with-lots-of-stuff car. It served the purpose of "ease of child seat access" and "can load many groceries plus a dog" into the back.  (You should have seen us try to get the rocking chair into the Mustang.)  It also serves the gas economy purpose (31/28 advertised) and was not a big SUV, or a minivan. I have never been fond of driving huge cars or trucks! It looks like a five door hatchback to us, but I guess it is technically listed as a "wagon." Some things go full circle, eh Mom?  Maybe a bit cooler than the Corona Wagon we drove in Texas, or whatever it was called.  Sorry the photo isn't super great, it's raining and cold so I pretty much didn't want to go out of the garage.  There are some more photos on our Flickr account (see link to right "other photos...")   It act...

4th of July and Other Buzz News

Greetings to all! I have finally had time to upload some more photos for Flickr and the blog and can keep you up to date on the Buzz around our water cooler, so to speak. :-) We've had a busy 2 months! Nonie and Papa Sudar came to visit for a few weeks at the end of June and through the 4th of July. We all had a good time. We spent a few days down in Walsenburg with most of the Tressells which Jack really enjoyed. And we really enjoyed the small break from constantly watching Jack! Thanks everyone!! Catch Papa! Bubbles in Walsenburg Cousins Making Cookies! Since we've been back we have been working on getting all the stuff in our garage either back into the basement, into the trash, or ready for donation.
