Spencer - Day 2

Hello friends,

For any who don't know we checked Spencer into the hospital yesterday with RSV. Because a number of people want to be updated I thought this was the easiest way without filling inboxes with emails.

Today his symptoms have worsened some.  More mucus and more wheezing. He is still on oxygen, and has had a nebulizer treatment. He is still eating though, so we are grateful for that.

As you can note in my photo, I now sport an arm bracelet as well.  I had one of the worst migraines in recent history today (of course) and had to check into the ER for treatment. It was hard to leave him but I was almost 100% disabled and of little use to him. Thanks to the nursing staff and Scott who took care of both Spencer and I. I spent 4 hours down there, but my headache is far less severe and I am no longer sick to my stomach. Thankfully I was only given breast feeding - friendly meds.

Anyway I hope to make posts once or twice a day. If you want you can have emails sent when I post - there is a link to the right.  Or just check back, and keep your inbox clean!

Until next time,
Dena & Spencer

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
