Charity Fundraiser

Hey guys!

It's been a couple years since I did a marathon for charity. Yes... a GAMING marathon. 24 hours of gaming for kids.

I normally don't ask for charity donations, I figure if you do that kind of thing you probably already know how much you're giving to whom... but I'll give this a shot anyway.

This was supposed to happen across the country on October 20th, but I had to work that weekend (it's been busy). It looks like I may actually get this weekend off! Yay!

I plan on starting 5AM Saturday 10/27/12.

Since Dena is on my team, she and I are allowed to split hours when we game together. 24 hours of not-stop gaming is really kind of impractical in my adult life...

I think we'll likely play several games: Guild Wars 2 and Mass Effect 3. We might get in some Torchlight II and Star Wars the Old Republic as well if Dad wants to play.

If nothing else, we'll have some fun, but hopefully we can help some kids too.

Update:
Due to a really bad back Saturday morning, I'm afraid I was unable to sit for an extended period and had to postpone the event. I got up at 5AM, and realized I wasn't going to make it 30 minutes, much less 24 hours. I'll have to work out a future date for this event with Dena...

April and May....Boy am I behind!

All Smiles....Look What I Can Reach! Cruisin' Another Type of Crusin' Wow, the Spring got away from me, as you can tell by the long time between posts! We have not felt like we had a lot going on, but I guess we have! Jack is doing great, and his potty training is pretty much finished (as much as it can be for a 3 year old I guess). We visited a few Pre-Schools and finally decided on one, and luckily they had room for us! It is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Jack is going to start school - even if it's only two mornings a week! He also got his first bicycle (Lightning McQueen, of course) and he is learning the ropes of riding it. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so he kind of prefers riding at the State Park where the road is a bit less up and down. Actually, all three of us got new bicycles and we hope to start to ride them as a family once Logan is old enough to wear a helmet and ride in the pull-behind. Baby Buzz (yes, ...

New Ride!

Well, it's no Mustang, but it is black! What we got was a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. At any rate, we both like it. It was a reasonable price for a smaller sized family-with-lots-of-stuff car. It served the purpose of "ease of child seat access" and "can load many groceries plus a dog" into the back. (You should have seen us try to get the rocking chair into the Mustang.) It also serves the gas economy purpose (31/28 advertised) and was not a big SUV, or a minivan. I have never been fond of driving huge cars or trucks! It looks like a five door hatchback to us, but I guess it is technically listed as a "wagon." Some things go full circle, eh Mom? Maybe a bit cooler than the Corona Wagon we drove in Texas, or whatever it was called. Sorry the photo isn't super great, it's raining and cold so I pretty much didn't want to go out of the garage. 4th of July and Other Buzz News

Greetings to all! I have finally had time to upload some more photos for Flickr and the blog and can keep you up to date on the Buzz around our water cooler, so to speak. :-) We've had a busy 2 months! Nonie and Papa Sudar came to visit for a few weeks at the end of June and through the 4th of July. We all had a good time. We spent a few days down in Walsenburg with most of the Tressells which Jack really enjoyed. And we really enjoyed the small break from constantly watching Jack! Thanks everyone!! Catch Papa!
