April and May....Boy am I behind!

All Smiles....Look What I Can Reach!

Cruisin'

Another Type of Crusin'

Wow, the Spring got away from me, as you can tell by the long time between posts! We have not felt like we had a lot going on, but I guess we have!

Jack is doing great, and his potty training is pretty much finished (as much as it can be for a 3 year old I guess).  We visited a few Pre-Schools and finally decided on one, and luckily they had room for us! It is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Jack is going to start school - even if it's only two mornings a week! He also got his first bicycle (Lightning McQueen, of course) and he is learning the ropes of riding it. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so he kind of prefers riding at the State Park where the road is a bit less up and down.  Actually, all three of us got new bicycles and we hope to start to ride them as a family once Logan is old enough to wear a helmet and ride in the pull-behind.

Baby Buzz (yes,  we still call him that!) is also doing great. He's been crawling for maybe a month now (see, waaaaaaay behind) and now he's cruising along holding onto furniture. His favorite activities are eating, and playing with is big brother. Especially in his crib. In other big news, we just saw the first tooth start to poke through just this week. Yay! Finally!  TEETH!!!

Scott is doing well - his big Atlas Liquid Oxygen Tank test is finally over and he's still trying to decompress from the long term stress of that project (over a year of his time). Everyone is a lot happier when Dad isn't under a ton of pressure at work!

As for me, I'm hanging in there, still crocheting when I have a minute or so.  I've also started to try my hand at canning.  So far I have made Lemon Curd (turned out OK but it's just for the fridge by my recipe), pickled cabbage (for Papa Sudar), and Chipotle Salsa. It's all turned out pretty well. Now I can't wait until August when the pickles come out in the Farmer's Markets. Who wants pickles?!?

Thanks for your patience, I have been trying to spend as much time as I can playing with my kids while I still have the chance.  Guess the whole starting school thing is really getting to me! Naw, I'm really excited for him.

Until next time....

  1. You're not behind--just as busy as a mom should be. Glad to know you are enjoying your boys! They are so darn cute. It's a good thing they aren't my grands--I would be hanging around all the time. Mary

  4. Thanks! It is fun to hang out with them. I'm glad Pat lives so close (and Gary). Hoping my folks will be moving to CO in the next few years too. That will be really fun!

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
