Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Wow! It actually wasn't freezing cold here this Halloween...spooky! We had a super busy weekend painting our basement but took some time out to let Jack enjoy his second Halloween. He had lots of fun this year. We 'trick or treated' at Grandmas and we got some dinner out of the deal! Jack was pretty freaked out the first time kids rang the doorbell, but he ended up really having fun by helping Grandma put the treats in the kids bags. Most of the kids got a kick out of it too. Before heading home, we stopped at about four houses and it clicked in Jack's head that he got stuff in his pail if he did so. He ended up really liking that as well. Two Cats Ready For a Night Out! Panther Takes a Dinner Break Cat Fight! Blackie versus Mom's Tail (a borrowed cat toy to be fair)! Hey, is this some kind of trick mirror?

Pumpkin Painting!

Wow! Halloween is almost here! To celebrate we had some fun painting pumpkins in the backyard. It was totally messy and totally hilarious. Hope you enjoy the clips:

Marathon for Kids Charity!

Family and Friends, I’m sure you’ve all heard of sponsoring people in races for charity. Donate a dollar for every mile run, and it all goes to a good cause. Well, I’m entering a marathon. I know this may surprise even the people who know me closely. I’m not in the greatest physical shape, but don’t let that fool you. I’m particularly well conditioned for this type of marathon. It’s a gaming marathon. 24 hours for the ‘Extra Life’ event sponsored by the Sarcastic Gamer website: http://extralife.sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2010/03/extra-life-faq.html All my donations go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital here in Denver. http://www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org/HospitalDetail.aspx?market=DENVER&hospitalid=5fdc95a3-67a9-47ce-bc81-80f56e231577 (this charity was started by Marie Osmond in 1983) So I need your help, and here’s the deal. I’ll be gaming for 24 hours on October 16th, and I’m asking for a dollar an hour. If you can’t swing it then a few bucks is fine too. I...

18 Months

Wow! 18 Months old! I can't even believe it! We have all been doing really well. Jack went to the doctor for his checkup and he is back on the curve! Jack weighed in at just over 21 pounds , and was 31.5 inches tall! He is back up in the 3rd percentile for weight rather than listed as less than 3 percent He has come a long way since his 9 month photos a year ago. 9 Months Old - Remember?? He has some new words recently: car, Pokie , and 'cat poop' (that's a phrase I guess, technically). He loves to dress up with cat ears so we've decided to just go with it and he'll be a black cat for Halloween. He has his own ears now, but for a while he was using a pair I've worn for many Halloweens. Maybe we can both be cats this year: Jack in Mom's Cat Ears He also enjoys climbing on things, jumping (well, falling) off things, and throwing things. We try to encourage only the throwing of balls, but it may take a while for that lesson to sink in. Recently, he's...
