11 Months Old!

I can't even believe that Jack is already 11 months old! Time sure does fly by when you're having fun!! Our lives have changed a lot in 11 months. We've gone from baby burritos to baby walking everywhere (sometimes forgetting his pants it seems):

He has also started exploring the world around him. He is very curious, and likes to explore things like vacuum cleaners, kitchen cabinets, dad's computer desk, closets, etc.

He really enjoys spending time at Grandma and Grand-dad's house. He got over his fear of their blue rocking horse and now he's a real cowboy. He even does tricks, such as standing on the saddle and trying to rock the horse that way (scary for Mom).

And anyone who has seen me try really hard to concentrate on something has seen this before:

Here's our big list of cool things Jack has started being able to do or enjoy:

  • Has TWO teeth coming in (finally!)
  • Walks everywhere.
  • Tries our table food at dinner and likes polenta! Hooray!
  • Chases the kitties and laughs when he sees them.
  • Climbs on his box to look out the window and dances with the trees when the wind blows.
  • Tries to say "bath time" "kitty cat" "milk" "mommy" "daddy"
  • Likes to look at books and be read to at night.
  • Waves to people as we walk by in the stroller
  • Babbles and talks a lot now
  • Helps with laundry by pulling clothes out of the basket
  • Pushes wheeled toys around
  • Tries to give kisses to mom and dad and stuffed friends.
  • Kicks his ball and chases after it
  • Plays with Dad's alarm clock!
  • Turns on and off our computer if the button is not taped over!
  • Played in his first Fort Blanket that Dad built!

Well I got a post or two up this month! Have a great February and Happy Birthday later this month to Aunt Natalie!

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
