Two Month Check-up

Greeting one and all.  What an exciting week we've had already!  Our Memorial Day weekend was just as we like it.  Fun and relaxing.  We did most of our errands and chores on Friday and Saturday.  Jack was really well behaved on our shopping adventures.  Sunday and Monday we took it easy.  It was nice enough to eat lunch outside both those days, so that was fun for all three of us. 

Jack is doing great. He loves bath-time (for now).  He is getting a lot better at falling asleep on his own both for naps and especially at this bedtime.  It has helped his "colic" quite a bit to get enough sleep.  Not 100% gone, but much improved.

Today Jack had his two month checkup with immunizations. The best part of the shots were the five Tweety-bird Band-Aids he has on his chubby little legs.  But he did O.K. considering.  He is doing great as far as his development. Meeting all his milestones and doing all that he is supposed to be able to do. He is a lot better about holding his head up, and likes to sit and be helped to stand. 

In other good news his Thrush is finally gone. No more banana medicine four times a day. Also, he's doing well in height and weight and head circumference.  His head is 38 cm (12th percentile) and his weight was 10.0 lbs (18th %). The most surprising was his height: 23.5 inches - 73%-!! Our own little basketball player! Scott and I were really excited about that. 

This weekend is our vacation adventure. We are going down to Walsenburg to visit Antie and have a weekend of quiet.  And to see just how it is to travel with Little Jack, but not travel too far.

All Smiles....Look What I Can Reach! Cruisin' Another Type of Crusin' Wow, the Spring got away from me, as you can tell by the long time between posts! We have not felt like we had a lot going on, but I guess we have! Jack is doing great, and his potty training is pretty much finished (as much as it can be for a 3 year old I guess).  We visited a few Pre-Schools and finally decided on one, and luckily they had room for us! It is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Jack is going to start school - even if it's only two mornings a week! He also got his first bicycle (Lightning McQueen, of course) and he is learning the ropes of riding it. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so he kind of prefers riding at the State Park where the road is a bit less up and down.  Actually, all three of us got new bicycles and we hope to start to ride them as a family once Logan is old enough to wear a helmet and ride in the pull-behind. New Ride!

Well, it's no Mustang, but it is black! What we got was a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. At any rate, we both like it. It was a reasonable price for a smaller sized family-with-lots-of-stuff car. It served the purpose of "ease of child seat access" and "can load many groceries plus a dog" into the back.  (You should have seen us try to get the rocking chair into the Mustang.)  It also serves the gas economy purpose (31/28 advertised) and was not a big SUV, or a minivan. I have never been fond of driving huge cars or trucks! It looks like a five door hatchback to us, but I guess it is technically listed as a "wagon." Some things go full circle, eh Mom?  Maybe a bit cooler than the Corona Wagon we drove in Texas, or whatever it was called.  Sorry the photo isn't super great, it's raining and cold so I pretty much didn't want to go out of the garage.  There are some more photos on our Flickr account (see link to right "other photos...")   It act...

4th of July and Other Buzz News

Greetings to all! I have finally had time to upload some more photos for Flickr and the blog and can keep you up to date on the Buzz around our water cooler, so to speak. :-) We've had a busy 2 months! Nonie and Papa Sudar came to visit for a few weeks at the end of June and through the 4th of July. We all had a good time. We spent a few days down in Walsenburg with most of the Tressells which Jack really enjoyed. And we really enjoyed the small break from constantly watching Jack! Thanks everyone!! Catch Papa! Bubbles in Walsenburg Cousins Making Cookies! Since we've been back we have been working on getting all the stuff in our garage either back into the basement, into the trash, or ready for donation. Our goal is simple: both cars inside by winter. Hopefully we can make it happen! So far things are going pretty well with Baby Buzz.
