Tummy Time Face

We have some good pictures of "tummy time" we thought we would share.  He also likes his baby front-pack, and sometimes the sling. Usually the front-pack + Dad = Nap time!!

This week Jack has started to smile on his own - like if Scott or I smile, or if we tickle his lip or nose.  He is way better at holding his head up, and stays awake longer if we are doing something with him.  He is also more aware of his body, especially his hands.  He tries to reach for things, or swat at things (like his medicine) We enjoy reading various books to him and playing "tummy time".  Sometimes I read Winnie-the-Pooh, and Scott reads Lord of the Rings.

Scott enjoys watching old episodes of The Incredible Hulk on Netflix.com with Jack.  "Don't make me hungry, Mr. McGee! You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry" seems to be a catch phrase.  Scott has started calling Jack "Baby Hulk" when he gets fussy!

We ventured out this weekend into to wide world. We went to Mass on Sunday.  Granted, we sat in the vestibule the entire time, but we were there with all the other parents.  He was not too fussy, but had 2 wet diapers and wanted some lunch. It was quite the adventure! 

Grandma and Grandpa Christensen are coming out this weekend, so Jack will have met all his grandparents! We are excited for their visit. Eventually, they will just move out here and visiting will be a lot easier.

    Can't tell you how much We miss Jack! and of course Emerson. Just a month or so and we can come back and see them again! Looking forward to the next visit!!!!!!!

April and May....Boy am I behind!

All Smiles....Look What I Can Reach! Cruisin' Another Type of Crusin' Wow, the Spring got away from me, as you can tell by the long time between posts! We have not felt like we had a lot going on, but I guess we have! Jack is doing great, and his potty training is pretty much finished (as much as it can be for a 3 year old I guess).  We visited a few Pre-Schools and finally decided on one, and luckily they had room for us! It is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Jack is going to start school - even if it's only two mornings a week! He also got his first bicycle (Lightning McQueen, of course) and he is learning the ropes of riding it. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so he kind of prefers riding at the State Park where the road is a bit less up and down.  Actually, all three of us got new bicycles and we hope to start to ride them as a family once Logan is old enough to wear a helmet and ride in the pull-behind. New Ride!

Well, it's no Mustang, but it is black! What we got was a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. At any rate, we both like it. It was a reasonable price for a smaller sized family-with-lots-of-stuff car. It served the purpose of "ease of child seat access" and "can load many groceries plus a dog" into the back.  (You should have seen us try to get the rocking chair into the Mustang.)  It also serves the gas economy purpose (31/28 advertised) and was not a big SUV, or a minivan. I have never been fond of driving huge cars or trucks! It looks like a five door hatchback to us, but I guess it is technically listed as a "wagon." Some things go full circle, eh Mom?  Maybe a bit cooler than the Corona Wagon we drove in Texas, or whatever it was called.  Sorry the photo isn't super great, it's raining and cold so I pretty much didn't want to go out of the garage.  There are some more photos on our Flickr account (see link to right "other photos...")   It act...

4th of July and Other Buzz News

Greetings to all! I have finally had time to upload some more photos for Flickr and the blog and can keep you up to date on the Buzz around our water cooler, so to speak. :-) We've had a busy 2 months! Nonie and Papa Sudar came to visit for a few weeks at the end of June and through the 4th of July. We all had a good time. We spent a few days down in Walsenburg with most of the Tressells which Jack really enjoyed. And we really enjoyed the small break from constantly watching Jack! Thanks everyone!! Catch Papa! Bubbles in Walsenburg Cousins Making Cookies! Since we've been back we have been working on getting all the stuff in our garage either back into the basement, into the trash, or ready for donation. Our goal is simple: both cars inside by winter. Hopefully we can make it happen! So far things are going pretty well with Baby Buzz.
