Week 31

Sorry this one is a bit late - I've been sick with a cold since Wednesday and it is  a bad one! I am still coughing, which I never realized would be so hard with something mushing into my ribs. So the coughs are not quite as effective as they would be otherwise.

Anyway...according to What to Expect,  this week Shrimpy keeps on with the normal stuff. Gaining weight, getting taller, and growing his big brain.  He should be sleeping "longer" now and having REM sleep.  It says I may notice a pattern.  I just notice that he kicks me a lot.

Today Scott saw him kick across my belly through my shirt and sweater.  It was kind of funny!

Cravings: I haven't really had one this week, but it's because I've felt icky.

Funny Things:  The whole "word choice" problems always seem to get me.  Earlier this week I was trying to as Scott if he'd seen my bookmark.  Instead I asked if he'd seen the tablecloth.  At least I am good for a laugh now and again.

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
