We went to the doctor for our 28-week checkup and glucose test. That is one stiff drink!
Otherwise everything was A-OK and we are due back in two weeks.
We got our new crib and dresser/changing table. We have not built the table yet, but when we do we'll add that photo too. Here is our crib!
We got it from IKEA and we really like it. What we like most is that it does not stand too tall. Which is good because we don't either. And I don't have as far to lean over the crib-rail so my back will thank me too. It also becomes a toddler bed, with the top half and sides taken off. So that's handy.
If you think you may be confused because the pictures of the nursery were green and blue you are not crazy. We have the crib in our room for now. Not only because the nursery is where Mom C. will be sleeping when baby comes, but also because the crib is doubling as our bassinet. And with it here, it is only a step or two from my side of the bed.
And, yes, that is foil on the mattress. We are trying various methods to dissuade the cats from sleeping IN the crib. So far so good. Seamus likes to be under the crib, but no one has been caught sleeping in the crib.
I love that your baby will be able to see your picture hanging there!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to keep baby in your room for a while. It just makes everything easier.
Amd I'm glad that Pat will be there to help you guys out and to give that extra-special Gramma kind of love to your little one. I'm excited for all of you!

We are glad Grandma Pat will be here too. Especially since my mom has to try to work out time off for two grandchildren! (At least my brother and I both live in Littleton)
ReplyDeleteWe are all excited! Thanks for keeping in touch!
