Gentle Baby Wipes

Here is the recipe we got from the nurse at the hospital. She had some there and they were just as soft but smelled better!

2 cups water
1-2 tablespoons Baby Bath
1 tablespoon Baby Oil
1 roll of high quality paper towel

Cut paper towel in half (an electric knife works well).  Remove the center cardboard roll. Place one of the half rolls in a 10 cup plastic container with a lid (Rubbermaid, etc).  Mix the liquid ingredients together and slowly pour over the towels.  Put the lid on and allow it to set for several hours, turning upside down once. Pull wipes from center of roll.

An alternative to cutting a roll in half is to buy the rolls with the smaller sized sheets.  You still remove the center cardboard but place the roll in a tall airtight container. A family shared with me they found one at Container Store.

Angel or Devil?

Kids. They are too funny. I had to share this one with all of you. We went to Mass today and tried to sit inside for once. Everything was great, until Jack noticed the missal in the pew had these nice orange and yellow squares or something in the illustration on the cover. He was conviced they were dominoes, but that is a word he struggles to say. So, at an especially quiet time in the Mass he looks at me and says, "damn-yous! damn-yous!" We both had a mix of embarassment and laughter. Only out of the mouth of a 2 year old! We went to the back of the church soon after that. :)

Happy Birthday Jack

Here are some photos from Jack's 2nd birthday day, and party. He was so excited he was telling everyone happy birthday! We 'filled' his room with balloons while he was sleeping. He was so excited to wake up to balloons! Jack wanted to pose with his new favorite toy - Buzz! They are still usually only separated at nighttime (too tempting to make noise all night). Oh, and that is his 'camera' smile. He uses it whenever he sees the lens pointed at him. So cheesy! Blowing out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Yes, all the other stuff is Thomas the Train. He likes what he likes. Jack wasn't about to let Emerson go home without a hug. It was a hug, not an attack. Promise!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, but finally I have some photos uploaded! We had a nice time and enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa C, Antie and Uncle John Tressell , and Uncle Robert, Aunt Natalie, and Emerson. Jack really enjoyed hunting for eggs (for a few days he asked us to hide them again so he could find them), but was a bit disappointed when they no longer had animal cracker in them. Anyway better late than never. I'll put all the photos on Flickr . :) Painting Eggs They actually sat still for three seconds! Family Photo - Easter 2011 Until next time...
