Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Greetings friends!      Happy Thanksgiving! We all hope that your day is peaceful, and yummy as well. Everyone has their favorite food or tradition so hopefully you can enjoy that today too.       We are doing well here and are preparing to head to Grandma and Grandpa's house for our big Feast. Maybe I should have asked for a separate additional batch of dressing just for me. If it were just me that would probably be all I baked, LOL.     We are still working out the sleeping arangements for our new addition, and I'll put up photos when we are finished. Hopefully before we need it. Also we are still working on a name. I think we get closer to the wire with each new baby. Guess we are a wee bit busier than when we waited for Jack. :)       Anyway hope you all have a great day.  Until next time, Dena, Scott, Jack, Logan, and #3

Making Room for Baby

Hello friends!      We are (finally) starting to make room for our newest son, who will remain nameless. Until we decide on a name, that is. It took a few iterations and ideas, but we decided that Jack and Logan should move into the room a bit smaller for now since they actually have less furniture at this time. So we found a nice kid sized loft bed, which fits both Logan's toddler bed, or a twin mattress underneath. Eventually the toddler bed will re-transform into the crib and go into the nursery. We also found a couple of dressers which should slide right into the closet.  *********** Update: The good news is that the dressers did  fit into the closet despite the fact I measured the closet in the other bedroom which is 12" deeper. We didn't change the plan until after the purchase. Lucky us!! The bed also fits, and we squeezed in two bookshelves to combine their library. I still have some odds and ends to move (such as pictures for the walls) but I consider ...

Good News for Logan

Hello friends!    Well, we finally went to our "last" visit with the doctor for Logan today. Things went better than expected.  Given the fact that both Scott has trouble with reflux and other related issues, we were pretty sure that is what we would be told at today's visit.    The GI doctor described the results as "anti-climactic": they couldn't really find anything wrong or abnormal. The most likely cause is some sort of infection or stomach bug he had that caused inflammation and reflux on a short term basis. For this reason he will be on meds until Thanksgiving and then we will wean him off and see if he has any more "episodes".  But it will likely be the last we see of this. Yay!      Also, I will probably be cutting his food really small for a long while since I really don't want it to me because he's too hungry to chew well.      Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers while we tried to figur...
