A Month of Firsts

Dad and the Top Gun F-14 Pilot, Milkshake Jack the Centerpiece of Attention this Year What a fun weekend! We had a whole clan over for Jack's first Thanksgiving dinner and it was great fun. Scott's folks came over, as did four of my aunts and uncles (Marty, Annette, John, Marian) and my cousins Shellie, Matthew, and Andrew. We had lots of food and lots of fun. Jack tried turkey for the first time and did NOT like it. Otherwise, he had a good day and was really well behaved even with so many people around. This weekend Jack went to his first birthday party! It was the birthday of one of his friends from Stroller Stride class. He was invited to Grayson's 2nd Birthday celebration at Antsy Pants in SW Plaza Mall. If you've never been there, it's a pretty fun place. I was not sure there would be anything for Jack's age group, but there were a number of toddler toys. Mostly Jack liked to crawl around and watch what the bigger kids were doing, or chase the balls th...

Family Photo Shoot

Hey Family and Friends! Hope things are going well for you. We had Family Photo Day today and Jack did really well, despite being up past 1:00 last night and all of us being dead tired. He was a trooper and did not cry or anything until after the photos were taken. Here are a couple of the ones we took. We will be able to see them online in a couple of days and I will share that info with people if they are interested. Some of the poses are up on Flickr. Jack has been doing great lately and was a good baby for Grandma and Grandpa last night as Scott and I tried out "other people putting Jack to bed." He was good in that he did not cry, but going to bed was another matter! I don't think he actually fell asleep until after 8:00 and that was on Grandpa's chest! So, after we got home his routine was irregular and he woke up at midnight and had trouble going back to bed. We are all going to bed early tonight. Grandma and Grandpa are in their house and are slowly tryi...

Twins!

Jack 7 months Scott 20 months Ok, so we could not resist. I know that is a previously used photo, but Scott found a photo at Grandma's house (thanks Grandma!) and it is uncanny how similar they look - especially their smiles. Just thought everyone would get a kick out of it. Now we know Jack only got his hair and eyes from his mom!!! :)

Gilroy was here! No wait, that's Jack!

Well, we did go to the Pediatrician last week, but I forgot to mention his new stats (don't want the grandfolk wondering...). As I mentioned previously, he has started growing! Here are his 7 month numbers: Heights: 25 3/4 inches Weight: 14 pounds, 2 ounces Head Circumference: 42.8 cm He is back on a normal curve and that is good news. Wanted to post this photo since he's started doing many new things that are keeping me on my toes! 1) Crawls. And he's starting to be a speedy little guy at that. 2) Pulls himself up on furniture (or whatever is handy). This is actually his favorite pastime, and he'll crawl right past toys to get to a dresser or couch to use for this purpose. 3) Screeching and babbling. He keeps saying " da - da - da " and we are trying to get him to associate that with Scott. 4) NEW TODAY!! Climbing. He tried to climb up on a box. He is still eating OK and seems almost over his cold. Just the sniffles now and less coughing. This pas...
